JCL started a Limousin herd back in 1977 after our daughter bought and showed a 50% Limousin steer in 1975 that was Grand Champion Steer in a large county fair in Maryland. From there, we moved to Welch, Oklahoma from Dayton, Md. in 1978 and increased the number of cattle generally for years and held a production sale on the first Saturday of April every year till 2008. We then downsized our herd to a smaller number of cattle and started selling private treaty year around.
Today, we are showing our cattle at a few major shows as well as our grandkids that are showing both at local and national shows.
Our goals have remained the same for many years now: breeding for fertility, vigorous easy calving females and heifers who calve at 22 to 24 months of age that will raise easy keeping cattle on the pasture and feed lot.
The visitors are always welcome.
